Marie A. Dinovo

ALBANY –Marie Angelina Vazzana DiNovo, 85, of Albany, passed away peacefully on Saturday November 3, 2012 at Evergreen Commons after a brief illness.
She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Antonia LaMantia Vazzana. Marie was predeceased in 1986 by her beloved husband, Philip J. DiNovo. She had worked for many years at the former Horan's Tavern in Albany that was operated by the Marino family. Marie had been an active member of the Albany County Women's Democratic Committee.
Marie is the beloved mother of Nick (Donna) DiNovo and Sal (Connie) DiNovo. She is the cherished grandmother of Courtney, Nicholas (Cheryl), Jacquelyn, Teresa and Philip DiNovo. Marie is the great grandmother of Lorenzo DiNovo. She is the sister of the late Jeannette DiNovo, Dolores Battaglino, Rose Zeccola and Sue Marino. She is the sister in law of Evelyn Moore. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 9:30 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie then to Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:30 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
