Marie A. Fenelon

GUILDERLAND – Marie A. Fenelon, 90, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014 at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Haefner.

Marie worked for and retired from New York State Health Department after 20 years of service. She was a parishioner of Christ the King Church in Guilderland and a member of Guilderland Seniors. Marie enjoyed playing bridge and lunching with friends. She was often referred to as the "Hostess with the Mostest."

Along with her parents, Marie was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, John P. Fenelon.

She will be missed by her children, John M. Fenelon of Clifton Park and Patricia Kelly-Crucetti of Glenmont; grandchildren Kathleen Kelly-Van Vranken and Maureen Kelly-Smith, and great-grandchildren Taryn and Kahlan Van Vranken, and Elliana and Dylan Smith.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Avenue, Guilderland. A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:00 am at the church prior to the service. Inurnment will be held at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Avenue, Guilderland, NY 12203 in Marie's name.
