Albany-Marie A. DiNova, 79, of Albany, passed away suddenly on Thursday May 18, 2006 at Albany Medical Center Hospital. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Dominick and Angeline Costa Silvano. She was the wife of the late August V. DiNova.
Marie had worked many years ago at Sterling Winthrop. She was currently employed with Green Thumb Environmental Beautification in Albany. Marie was a self taught tennis champion. She had won several medals with the NYS Senior Olympics. She was an avid reader and enjoyed online chats with her family and friends. Marie always looked forward to her annual trip to Atlantic City with her family. She will be remembered for her lively disposition and her love for life and family.
She is the beloved mother of Donna Colby (Lee), Christine DiNova (Eric Ortiz), August DiNova and Eugene DiNova. She is the sister of Arthur (Jean) Silvano, Eugene (Pat) Silvano and the late Robert Silvano. She is the proud and loving grandmother of John C. Bolognino. Michelle Bolognino and Richard DiNova. Former mother in law of John B. Bolognino. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and step grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 9:00 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
