Marie A. Leguire, 84, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on June 21, 2024, following a heroic battle with cancer.
Marie was born November 13,1939 in Roxbury, NY to the late Virgil Williman and Gladys VanDyke. She grew up in Vega, NY before moving to Schenectady. Marie worked at several retail stores including Caldor, AJ Wright, Goodwill, and lastly, Dollar Tree. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, going to bingo and the casino, and afternoon lunches. Marie was a loving presence in the lives of her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Marie was predeceased by her brother, Gordon Williman.
Marie is survived by several cousins, including: Jeanine Ballo, Cheryl Kimball, Chuck Ingram; niece, Kimberlie Brannen.
The family expresses their deepest gratitude to the caregivers at Hospice for their unwavering support and care.
A calling hour will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 5-6PM, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, with a service to immediately follow.
