Marie F. Naze

Schenectady- Marie F. Naze, 80, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Albert Hurd and Margaret Gourlay (Arnold). Marie is predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Jerry Naze.

Marie was a registered NYS daycare provider for over 40 years. She had a very sharp sense of humor that was like no other person. She was also a communicant of St. Luke's Church in Schenectady. Marie enjoyed bowling with her husband and were both members of the Pistol Parlor bowling league at Sunset Lanes. Marie and Jerry did everything together. They were truly in love. Marie had a kind heart and loved children and animals especially her cats.

Marie is survived by her children, Richard Naze (Tracy), Robert Naze and Karen Naze (Dave Slurff). She was the loving grandmother to nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her siblings, Rita Erfurt (Scott) and Patricia Mueller as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends including her sister in law, Suzanne Cole (Matt).

In addition to her husband, Marie is predeceased by her brother Albert "Landon" Hurd.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital or a local animal shelter.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023 from 12:30pm-1:30pm at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 1241 State St, Schenectady, NY 12304. A mass will begin at 1:30pm with interment following at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
