Marie R. Coler

Guilderland – Marie R. Coler, 99, formerly of Guilderland, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Van Rensselaer Manor in North Greenbush.
She was born in Schenectady and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Pelagia Soltykowski. Marie had worked for New York State Department of Tax & Finance, retiring several years ago.
She was predeceased by her husband John G. Coler and her children, Carol Van Derwerken and John G. Coler II. Marie is survived by her son, Ronald (Audrey) Coler and her sister, Ki Hallenbeck. She is the grandmother of Diane Cubit, Charles, Jennifer, Tyler and John G. Coler III. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 8:15 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie then to All Saints Catholic Church, Albany at 9:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3 to 5 pm at the funeral home.
