TROY – Marilyn A. Houser, of Troy, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn with her loving family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Lois (Yakel) Houser.
Marilyn was a graduate of Troy High School and was employed by the New York State Education Department for many years. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and family, especially her mom. She enjoyed bargain shopping on the weekends with her sissy. Marilyn was also a loving, selfless person willing to help anyone in need.
In addition to her mother, Marilyn will be greatly missed by her two daughters, Miranda Wilson and Vanessa Milligan both of Troy and her two sons, Nathan Milligan of Troy and Marcel Milligan (Tara) of Schenectady; her fourteen grandchildren, Alivia, Bryante, Mehki, Amani, Deja, Mya, Aliyah, Nathan Jr., Isiaha, Makayla, Anthony, Mariah, Marcel Jr. and Mylee; her siblings Harry Houser (Joyce) of Virginia, Bruce Houser (Stephanie) of Speigletown, Gerald Houser of Nassau, Nancy affectionately known as Sissy Houser of Troy, Paul Houser of Utica, Stephen Houser (Terry) of Poestenkill, Christopher Houser (Patty) of Clinton and Michelle Houser of Troy. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
