West Albany- Marilyn R. DeSeve, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, October 7, 2021. Marilyn was born in Albany to the late James and Helen Miller. Marilyn is predeceased by her husband John J. DeSeve. They married on May 17, 1958.
Marilyn retired from the NYS Tax and Finance Department. She loved crafts especially knitting, crocheting and painting. She was a master craftsperson. She enjoyed watching the New York Mets even up until her passing. Above all, she was devoted and loving grandmother and great grandmother.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Mahar (Paul). She was the loving "Grammy" to Gabrielle Conklin (Scott) and Charles Mahar (Katie); and her three great grandchildren Thomas and Eliza Conklin and Lily Mahar. She will also be missed by her two sisters in law both named Pat Miller (the late Ronald) and Pat Miller (the late Leslie) and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project and/or the Community Hospice of Albany.
A celebration of Marilyn's life will be held in the spring.
