ROTTERDAM- Marilyn J. Utter, 89, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
Marilyn was born in Saranac, NY to the late Glenn and Aileen Bacon on January 13, 1929. On September 1, 1952 Marilyn married the love of her life, Donald Utter. They were married for 58 years, until his passing in 2010. Together they raised two daughters. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, in Scotia, NY for over 30 years. Marilyn will be remembered as a wonderful homemaker, and gardener, and for her love of animals, especially her cats and dogs. Her passion in life was her family.
She is survived by her beloved daughters, Bonnie (Paul) Simkins, Connie (Gary Chapman) Powers, and Stuart (Judy) Powers, her grandchildren, Chris, Heidi, Brian, Jamie, Scott, and Lance, and her eight great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 10:00am-12:00pm with a service to immediately follow. Burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
