ALBANY – Marilyn V. Dickert, 75, of Albany, passed away on Tuesday April 30, 2013 at the Baystate Hospital in Springfield, Mass after a long illness.
She was born in Brooklyn and was the daughter of the late Frederick and Catherine Bender. Marilyn was employed with New York State Comptroller's Office and the Department of Audit & Control for many years. She was currently employed at OMCE, Office of Management and Confidential Employees. Marilyn was devoted to her cherished family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Richard L. Dickert; her sons, Charles (Jennifer) Hofmann, Bruce Hofmann and Jeffrey (Denise) Dickert. She is the grandmother of Jessica and Nicole Hofmann, Catherine, Nolan and Mason Dickert. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Paluba and a brother. Marilyn is the dear friend of Marion Murphy.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 8:45 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie then to Mater Christi Church at 9:30 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling Hours will be Friday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery.
