Mario Tedesco

Troy - Mario Tedesco, 68, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020. Mario was born in San Martino V.C. Italy. He was the son of late Michele Tedesco and Giuseppina Gallo Tedesco. Mario was the devoted husband to his wife of 43 years, Rosa Tedesco.

Mario grew up in Italy. He and his wife, Rosa, moved to Troy in 1977. He was a dedicated worker who provided for his family throughout his entire life. He retired from HVCC in 2014. He fully enjoyed retirement. On most days Mario could be found walking his beloved dogs, Bentley and Walle. He enjoyed drinking his favorite espresso Kimbo, as well as watching Italian television and soccer. Mario also had a unique sense of humor and enjoyed sharing a laugh with family and friends. He enjoyed traveling with his family to the ocean, returning to Italy to visit family, resting in the sun next to the pool and eating his favorite Frutti di mare. Of all the things Mario loved, nothing could compare to the love he had for his granddaughter, Elisabeth.

Mario is survived by his children, Michael (Lindsay) Tedesco and Giuseppina (Eric) Klym; his granddaughter Elisabeth Klym and step-granddaughters Addison and Caitlyn Klym; his twin brother Raffaele (Lea) Tedesco and his sister, Giovanna (Francesco) Tedesco Melisci along with many loving family and friends both here in the United States and Italy.

Mario was predeceased by his brother, Luigi Tedesco.

Visitation will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, on Monday, December 14, 2020 from 10:00 - 11:30 am. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am. Entombment will follow the service at St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.
Gathering size within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
