Marion Bauer

Marion Kwiatkowski Bauer, 83, passed into eternal life at St. Peter's Hospice Inn on July 16 in the embrace of her loving family. Born in Schenectady on October 1, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Marian Kwiatkowski and Helen Kwiatkowski.

Marion was the salutatorian of the Vincentian Institute Class of 1948. She and her husband founded the Robert F. Bauer insurance agency in 1957, which they operated together until retiring in 1994. Marion and Bob were fond of traveling and vacationed in Aruba every winter for 30 years. They also enjoyed many happy voyages in their motor home, visiting locations throughout North America, including Florida and Alaska.

She is survived by Bob, her high school sweetheart and beloved husband of 64 years. Four grateful sons: Robert J. (Dolores) Bauer of Jamestown, RI; Craig S. (Tina) Bauer of St. Petersburg, FL; David R. (Carol) Bauer of Guilderland and Michael J. (Linda) Bauer of Bern.
Her eight grandchildren and one great-grandson affectionately knew her as "Babcia", a doting Polish grandmother. All will remember her love and devotion; she was always there for her family.

She was predeceased by her Brother and Sister-in-law, John M. and Anna Kwiatkowski and Brother-in-law Ronald Bauer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Marion on Monday July 21st at 10:00 a.m. at St. Madeline Sophie, Guilderland. Calling hours will be Sunday July 20th from 4 – 8 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marion's name to St. Peter's Hospice Inn, 315 S. Manning Blvd. Albany, NY 12208.
