Marion D. Lachance

ALBANY – Marion D. LaChance, 76, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2012, at The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Marion was born on June 25, 1935 in Albany and was the daughter of the late John and Ellen (Fitzgerald) Magee. She was a kind and giving person, always giving a helping hand to family and friends whatever the need. She enjoyed crocheting, homemaking, always sharing a kind word while visiting with friends and neighbors, and was a "social butterfly".
Marion is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Richard G. LaChance; her loving children, Richard G. (Maria) LaChance Jr. of Albany and Ellen (Gary) Simmons of Greenville; her cherished grandchildren, Joseph (Ida) LaChance, Cheri LaChance and Michelle (Sean) Conway; her cherished great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Ambria and Bryant LaChance; her brother, Joseph (Evelyn) Magee; her sister-in-law, Anne Magee and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, John Jr., Marvin, David and Charles Magee and her sisters, Mary Lange and Dolores Lesnick.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Glenmont. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
