Marion E. Conklin

ALBANY- Marion E.(Rings)Conklin, 100 years old, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015, with her loving family by her side.

Marion was born in Albany, NY on March 8, 1915, to the late John and Mary Rings. She was the beloved wife of the late George Conklin who passed away in 1966.

She is survived by her loving daughter Patricia (Arthur) Ritz, her grandchildren; Timothy (Cindy) Ritz, Mary (Mark) Sgambelluri, Laurie (Les) Los, Michael (Virginia) Ritz, and Thomas (Maria) Ritz, her 12 great-grandchildren; Timothy, Nicole, Daniel (Ashley), Christopher, Anna, and Kevin Ritz, Nicholas, Matthew, and Marissa Sgambelluri, Stephanie (Tyler) Spear, Jessica Los, and Jamie (David) Blot, and her great-great-grandson, Benjamin Blot.

She is predeceased by her siblings; John Rings, Fredrick Rings, Dorthea Miley, Marjorie Adriance, Katherine Rings, and Anne Rings.

Marion was a member Louise Corning Senior Center, where she loved to do ceramics, which her family treasures. She will be remembered for her love of gardening and animals, especially her dog Gerald.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY, on Monday, April 6, 2015, from 4:00-7:00. A mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Clare's Catholic Church, on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 9:00am 1947 Central Ave, Albany, NY .

Marion's family would like to thank all those for their loving care at Wynwood Senior Living Center, and Hospice. Donations may be made in Marion's name to the Community Hospice of Schenectady.
