ALBANY- Marion M. Wimbush, suddenly on March 11, 2008 entered peacefully into eternal life at home. She was a lifelong resident of Albany and the daughter of the late Robert & Ollie Wimbush.
Marion enjoyed a career spanning over 37 years with the State of New York. She retired as an Assistant Vice Chancellor for Diversity & Affirmative Action from the State University of New York in 1998.
She is the beloved mother of Captain David Matthew Wimbush, US Army of Columbus/Fort Benning GA; beloved sister of Corene Clow, Forrist (Jenny) Jones, Phyllis Brodhead, Blanche I. Gamble all of Albany and Linda F. Porter of Buffalo. She was predeceased by two brothers, Alvin Wimbush and Robert N. Wimbush. Marion is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
