GUILDERLAND – Marion Matelitz, 78, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010 at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Marion was born on January 18, 1932 in Albany and was the daughter of the late Albert and Gladys (Palmer) Rawlings. She worked as a sales secretary for many years for A. M. International until her retirement.
Marion is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Ernest Matelitz; her children, Linda (Marty) Zaloga and David (Patricia) Matelitz; her grandchildren, Alison, Matthew and Marty Zaloga Jr. and Daniel and Samantha Schuch; her brother, Walter (Rita) Rawlings; her sister, Delores DeSano; her special sister-in-law and best friend, Lucille Rawlings; her dear friend, Sheri Fischer and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Albert and Francis Rawlings and her sister, Gladys Couture.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to Kellie and the staff on 5 McCauley and the ER staff at St. Peter's Hospital for their care and concern given to Marion.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
