Marion R. Decker

Marion Ruth Decker (Prue), 92, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2013 at Albany Memorial Hospital, with her loving family by her side.

Marion was born on July 20, 1921, in Albany, NY to the late William and Margaret Owens.

She retired from NYS Dept. of Taxation and Finance after 10 years of service. She was a member of North Albany American Ladies Aux. Post #1610, North Albany Limericks and the Colonie Moose. Marion loved to go bowling and play darts.

In addition to her parents, Marion was predeceased by her brother Robert Owens, sister, Shirley Stover, her step sons, William and Vincent Prue and her son Donald Hallett.

Marion is survived by her Husband of over 23 years, Mr. Harold "Joe" Decker, her sister Elizabeth "Betty" Shannon. She is the loving mother of, Beverly (Ebbie) VanWagenen, Richard (Barbara) Hallett, Georgianna Kahl, William (Rose) Hallett, Ronald (Arlene) Hallett, Suzanne (Richard) Cornell and Kathy Prue; cherished grandmother of 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Marion will be on Monday, September 16, 2013 at 11:00 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
