Marion T. Allison

ALBANY – Marion T. Allison, 81, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at home. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late John and Sarah Reith.
Marion retired from the New York State Insurance Department. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and St. Frances of Assisi (formerly St. James) Church in Albany.

Along with her parents, Marion was predeceased by her husband Donald Allison, Sr.; daughter Theresa Becker; son William Allison; granddaughter Jessica Allison; grandson John Caplandies; brothers John and William "Bill" Reith, and sisters Anna Fredricks and Veronica "Sis" Devine.

She will be missed by her children Donald Allison (Theresa), Kevin Allison (Patricia), Maryanne Fick (Edward) and Brian Allison; siblings Frank Reith (Marie), James Reith (Patricia), Eilleen Comerford, and Jean Vaughn; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren, and multiple nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A special thank you to Sarah and Corey from Hospice for their compassionate care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Avenue, Albany. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association of NENY, Pine West Plaza, Bldg. 4, Suite 405, Washington Avenue Ext., Albany, NY 12205 or Community Hospice of Rensselaer, 295 Valley View Boulevard, Rensselaer, NY 12144 in Marion's name.
