Latham- Marion S. Williams, 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. She was the daughter of the late Esther V. and Frederick A. Siesel.
Born in Albany she was the wife of Doug Williams and mother of Susan Kennen ( the late Greg Kennen), Bill Williams (Cindy) and the late Jim Williams. Marion was a graduate of the Milne High School (Albany) and Endicott College (Beverly,MA). She is also grandmother to, Kristine Kennen-D'Amario (Adam), Adele Williams and Zachary Williams.
Marion lived most of her life in Loudonville and for years worked as an Executive Secretary in the Higher Education Department for the State of New York. She married her husband while he was serving as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force. After finishing his tour of duty Marion and her husband returned to Loudonville to spend her next 56 years. During that time she was active in her church (Calvary United Methodist Church of Latham) as a Sunday school teacher and was a member of various church committees. Marion was also active in her community belonging to the Colonie Seniors, Young at Heart and Prime Timers.
The family would like to thank all of her caretakers at St. Peter's Hospital and Landmark Health.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2017 from 1:00pm- 3:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189. A funeral service will follow starting at 3:00pm at the funeral home.
Interment will be held at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at a later date.
