ALBANY – Marjorie A. Prichard, 87, of Loudonville died suddenly Friday, February 25, 2011, after a short illness. Born in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late James M.R. Adams and Eliza Jane (Hadley) Adams.
Marjorie earned a degree in nursing from the Jersey City Nursing School, Jersey City, NJ in 1945. She was very active in arts and crafts; first with dried flower arranging and later with basket weaving. Marjorie taught evening craft classes at the Guilderland, Shenendehowa, and South Colonie School Districts. Her other interests include photographing covered bridges in the Northeast, and volunteering with the local Shaker Heritage Society.
Marjorie was predeceased by her husband, Samuel Prichard, Jr. in 1975. She is survived by two sons; Alan Prichard of Loudonville, and Mark Prichard of Atlanta.
Funeral services will be private for the family. Interment will be at Congressional Cemetery, Washington, D.C.
