MENANDS- Marjorie A. Ray, 78, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Albany Medical Center Hospital surrounded by her family.
Marjorie was born on March 25, 1931 in Cohoes and was the daughter of the late John J. and Margaret (Nailor) Morin. After raising her family, she worked as a pharmacy clerk for Lindsay Drug Co. in Troy for 15 years before retiring in 1987.
Marjorie is survived by her loving daughters, Karen (Ed) Sullivan of Loudonville, Candace (Don) Murray of Cumberland, RI, Connie (Jay Stasack) Ray of Speigletown; her cherished grandchildren, Daniel (Lennis) Sullivan, Laura Sullivan, Meghan Ray, Shawn, Patrick and Eric Murray; her sisters, Eileene (George) Schmidt and Theresa Avery; her sister-in-law, Gloria (Edward) Sullivan and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John "Jack" F. Ray Jr. and her sisters, Mary Spiroff and Elizabeth Curran.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Monday at St. Joan of Arc Church in Menands. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Troy. There will be no calling hours.
Animals held a special place in Marge's heart and she considered her children's pets a much loved part of her family.
