Marjorie E. Linacre, 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.
Marjorie was born in Rensselaer to the late Elbert and Lena Phillips.
She worked for Friendly Home Parties and was a sales associate with Sears for many years.
She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, watching their various sporting events, never missing a memorable moment. She participated in many activities with Church, including teaching Sunday School and Bible School, being a Brownie Leader for her girls, reading, crossword puzzles and making her signature fudge.
Marjorie had a great sense of humor and was always the life of the party.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Howard M. Linacre and her sister Virginia Coyne.
Marjorie is survived by her children, Linda (Robert Miller) Shields, Sandra (Robert) Nicholson, Howard (Catalina) Linacre, Judy (Todd Baldwin) Davis and Michael (Nicole Maney) Linacre; her grandchildren, Gary and Duane (Shannon Augar)Nicholson and Renee (Ross) Elia, Brandy (Brian Albert) and Dillon Davis, Luke Shields, Howie James Linacre and Chase Linacre; her step grandchildren, Martin, Layla and Ringo Carrizo; her great grandchildren, Vianna and Nico Elia. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Tatro and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 10:00 am at Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 1580 Central Ave. Colonie. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Interment will follow the service in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
