Marjorie "Marge"G. Marks

ALBANY – Marjorie "Marge" G. Marks, 82, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Marge was born on March 25, 1925 in Albany and was the daughter of the late John G. and Hilda Stehr Gillette and graduated from Vincentian Institute. She was an office manager for Action Electric in Albany for over 25 years before retiring in 1983; prior to that she worked for the New York Telephone Company and E.J. Digman Insurance Agency.
Marge was a communicant of St. Teresa of Avila Church, a member of the West Albany Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, AARP, the St. Peter's Rosary Society, and the Albany Home Bureau, where she was very active. She enjoyed cooking, crafting, playing bridge and spending time with her grandchildren. She always looked forward to vacationing in Florida, Wildwood, NJ and Carolina Beach.
Marge is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Stanley C. Marks; her daughters, Gail Crisafulli of Albany and Joan (Rick) Varcoe of Colonie; her grandchildren, Nicole Crisafulli, Allan (Gabriella) Varcoe and Colette (Tim) Crisafulli-Coffey; her sisters, Lois Chapman of Tempe, AZ and Mary (Nunzio) Biondi of Guilderland and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to St. Teresa of Avila Church, Albany where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
