COLONIE – Marjorie L. McDonough, 66, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2007, surrounded by her loving children, after a brief illness. Born in Salem, NY she is the loving daughter of Maie Juckett. Mrs. McDonough was a resident of Colonie for all of her life. She was an avid bowler and belonged to two local leagues and also enjoyed playing bingo. Marjorie was a member of the Red Hat Society in Florida. She was a former member of the Colonie Village Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and her great-grandson. Marjorie is the beloved wife of the late George T. McDonough. She is the devoted mother of Debbie (Al) Strobel of Niverville, Terri (Dennis) Lonehner of Wright, Stephen (Michelle) McDonough of Guilderland, Michael (Sarah) McDonough of Colonie and the late Thomas McDonough. She is the sister of Mary, Nancy, Judy, Gary, Cindy and the late Butch. Marjorie is the cherished grandmother of Paul (Mary Beth) Strobel, Amy, Thomas and Amanda Belawski, Katelyn and Thomas McDonough and Dylan and Collin McDonough. She was the proud great-grandmother of Connor John Strobel. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Marjorie was predeceased by her mother-in-law and best friend, Pauline McDonough.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday morning at 9:00 at St. Francis de Sales Church on Exchange St. Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
