Marjorie Sawyer

ALBANY-Marjorie M. Sawyer, 81, of Albany passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Marjorie was born in Glens Falls, NY the daughter of the late Carmen and Bertha Whitbeck. She has resided in Albany for the past 60 years. Marjorie was employed as a housekeeper at Stratton VA hospital and Tom Sawyer. She also was employed with Albany Medical Center in the Laundry Department.
Marjorie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Clarence L. Sawyer, Sr. of Albany; her children Christine McGrail of Albany, Ann Hoffman of E. Greenbush, Diane Kafer of Albany, Clarence L. Sawyer, Jr. (Patricia) of Guilderland, Thomas L. Sawyer (Anne) of Colonie, Margaret Gilkes (Dexter) of Amsterdam and Carmen Carter (Calvin) of Albany; 113 grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her "partner in crime" Carol Wagnor.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Friday, July 5, 2013 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie with a funeral service to immediately follow at 8 PM.
