Mark Thomas Brennan, 59, of Slingerlands, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2021.
Mark was born in Albany, NY on July 5, 1961, son of Jane Keith Brennan and the late Thomas E. Brennan. For many years he attended the Maywood School in Colonie and later attended several New Visions programs in the Albany area. He was a resident of Feura Bush House and then was lovingly cared for by the staff of Lexington Chapter of NYSARC, Inc.
Mark enjoyed life to the fullest and will always be remembered by family and friends for his beautiful smile and infectious laugh. He loved to compete in the Special Olympics New York games, bringing home many trophies and medals. He was always the first person on the dance floor at any celebration, especially when the songs were by Michael Jackson. He was a fan for life of the New York Yankees and had wonderful times at Yankee Stadium.
Mark is survived by his mother, Jane Brennan of Voorheesville and sisters, Shannon Cummings, Debbie (John) Mahan, Monica (David) Rivenburg and Noreen (Peter) Shunney. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law Gary Corell and many nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. He had a special bond with his nephew, Eric Corell. Mark was predeceased by his father, Thomas E. Brennan and brother-in-law, Charles Cummings. His sister, Donna Corell passed a few weeks following his death on April 1, 2021.
Family and friends are invited to visit with Mark's family Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 11 am to 1 pm at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY. Mark's funeral service will be held at 1 pm.
