COLONIE – Mark J. Ruth, 51, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn after a three year battle with Sarcoma. Born in Albany, he was the son of Nora and the late Joseph Ruth.
Mark graduated from Colonie Central High School and Riverside School of Aeronautics in Utica. He was employed for 20 years with Million Air Airlines at Albany International Airport. Mark was a motorcycle enthusiast. He enjoyed traveling, especially to the New Hampshire White Mountains and to Key West, Florida.
Along with his mother, Mark will be missed by his devoted companion, Rose Diana; sisters Verna (Bill) Luck, Joan Stapleton and Shirley Daly; nieces and nephews Paula (Glen) and Logan Scholer, Denise Secor, David Luck, Amy, Kerry and Andy Stapleton.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at St. Peter's Hospice Inn for all of their care and kindness.
A funeral service will be held on Monday at 7:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Hospice Inn, 315 South Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208 in Mark's name.
