Delmar-

Mark Edward Kenyon passed away suddenly November 12th, only weeks after his 70th birthday. Mark was born October 22, 1954, in Rome, NY and lived in Delmar since 1967.

A graduate of Bethlehem Central High School and Syracuse University, Mark was an accomplished artist and an extraordinarily knowledgeable art historian. He was employed by the New York State Museum and later, Excelsior College as a graphic designer. He also illustrated several children's books including Teddies to the Rescue

Mark was devoted to his family and developed lifelong friendships dating back to high school and college. He was always thoughtful, kind and intensely loyal. He never forgot a birthday or special occasion. Mark was always the first to welcome someone new into the group. He was also a die-hard "Cuse" fan, watching basketball and football with orange soda and orange Cheetos by his side. Among his treasured moments were escorting Lady Bird Johnson through the State Museum, celebrating the French Bicentennial in Paris in 1989, sailing and plein air painting on Martha's Vineyard, and attending the races at Saratoga.

He was predeceased by his parents, Alice Jane Kenyon and Donald Kenyon. Mark is survived by his cousin Daniel Case, second cousins Lisa Roy, Margaret Rellos, Natalie Lacey and their families.

A celebration of life will be planned for Spring 2025. On behalf of Mark, his family and friends wish to recognize those who supported and befriended him in recent years including Cynthia Miller, MD, Diane DeGroat, Esq, and the staff and volunteers at Bethlehem Senior Services.
