Mark N. Scaringe, 57, passed away peacefully at his home, Sunday, June 15, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He fought a courageous battle against brain cancer. Mark was born May 27, 1957 to Connie (Rella) Scaringe and the late Nunzio Scaringe.
Mark lived in Colonie before marrying the love of his life in 1977 and moving to Ravena in 1984. He was a member of the Bricklayers Union Local 2 for 34 years.
His hobbies included golfing, bowling, hunting and fishing.
Mark was a man that governed his life through a set of morals and values that were an inspiration to others.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Susan (Fraley) Scaringe. He is the father of Mark N. (Jessica) Scaringe Jr., of Selkirk, NY and Michael J. (Courtney) Voorhees of Powder Springs, Georgia. He is the cherished grandfather of seven; Mark N. Rocco, Victoria, Nicole and Dominic Scaringe, Bradyn Voorhees, Madelynn and Logan Skarzynski. Mark is also survived by three brothers and one sister; Salvatore (Pamela), Anthony (Georgia), Carmen (Michele) Scaringe and Rosemary (Robert) Krosky.
Mark was a loyal and loving husband, father and friend who will be greatly missed today and everyday hereafter.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Burial will be private for the family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 363 Elm Ave., Selkirk.
