Mark R. Suthers, of Latham, passed away on May 12th at the age of 72.
Mark was the only child of Harry and Margaret (Gauld) Suthers. He was raised in Latham and attended and graduated from Southgate Elementary School, Shaker Junior High School, Shaker High School and Siena College, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He was a founding member of the Sigma Psi Delta fraternity while at Siena. He worked in marketing in many locations around the country including WGY and Montgomery Ward.
He was a political conservative, but maintained the philosophy that, "we can disagree, but we don't have to be disagreeable." He was also a member of the NRA and supported the proper and safe use of guns and rifles. He enjoyed dancing and listening to the music of the era and was a proud attendee for all three days of the Woodstock Festival in 1969.
There are no survivors to Mark's passing. At his specific request there will be no memorial or other service to note his passing.
He will be interred in Albany Rural Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Newcomer Funeral Home of Latham.
