Mark T. Byrd

Albany- Mark T. Byrd of Albany NY joined his parents, Alberta and Robert Byrd along with his brothers, Earren and Nathaniel Durham in eternal rest on Sunday August 30th 2015. He left this world surrounded by friends and family at St. Peter's Hospital after battling illness for several years. He was 54 years old.
Mark was born on July 4th, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois where he later graduated from Dunbar High School in 1980. Two years later, he took his talents to the United States Army where he served for four years before being honorably discharged in 1986. Mark was hard working man of many skills working several different jobs such as Wired Rope for numerous years and most recently Property Manager of Tri City fitness in Latham for over 15 years.
With his passing he is survived by his loving family including his daughter, Jasmine Byrd of Boston, MA, fiancé Marita Brown of Albany , brothers Robert Byrd of Milwaukee, WI, Leon (Lisa) Byrd and Tayrome Byrd of Albany and sister Kathy (Ronnie)Hall of Park Forest, Il cherished relatives Dezmund Lewis of Albany NY and Meshah Lewis of New York City. Mark leaves behind with fond memory Gabby Ceijka as well as Andrea and Brittany Alexander. He will be missed by countless other friends, relatives and loved ones.
There will be a viewing at Metropolitan Baptist Church (105 2nd St Albany NY 12210) starting at 10:00am with a celebration of his life to follow at 11am. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery. Remembrances may be made in the form desired by loved ones.
