Marlene A. Connell
September 22, 1937 — March 6, 2023
Marlene A. Connell, 85, joined her late husband on his journey in his Super Sport 396 on Monday, March 6, 2023. Marlene was the daughter of the late Rosario and Agnes (Green) Spano. Marlene was the devoted wife to the late Richard Paul Connell. They were married for 67 years.
Marlene worked for many years at SUNY Albany as an Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Finance.
Marlene enjoyed antiquing, flea markets and traveling to Cape Cod with her husband.
In addition to her parents and her husband she was predeceased by her sister Paulette O'Connor.
Marlene is survived by her children, Richard (Denise) Jr., Kathleen, John (Mary Ellen) and Robert (Tina). She was the proud grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
A private celebration of Marlene's life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hearts Herd Animal Sanctuary and Rescue Center at www.heartsherd.com
