Marlene K. Stevens

COLONIE, NY – Marlene K. Stevens, passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, February 20, 2010. Born in Schenectady, she is the loving daughter of Henry Stevens and the late Lucia (Mendyk) Stevens. Marlene recently retired from the New York State Dept. of Health after many years of service. She enjoyed gardening and reading. In addition to her father, Marlene is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years, Rolf F. Stark. She is the devoted mother of Rachel Stark, who affectionately referred to her mother as "My Little Woman." Marlene is the cherished sister of Sandra Riccio and Cynthia Blyth. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
