Marlene Joy Mcelroy
January 11, 1932 — December 25, 2023
Marlene Joy McElroy, 91 of North Albany died Christmas morning 2023.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph A. McElroy.
Mrs. McElroy was the mother of Joseph C. McElroy (wife Joyce), John Michael McElroy and Joanne McElroy Moore. Also survived by three granddaughters and seven great grandchildren: Jamie Uccell (husband Tom)- children: Alex, Lilly; Jolene McElroy Moore- children: J'mear, Knya; Jadine McElroy Moore- children: Alani, Aaliyah, Aviyana. Also survived by Janet Hickey-Aunt and her brothers and sister.
She retired as Senior Life Insurance Underwriter after 30 years of service from Farm Family Life Insurance Co. in Glenmont, NY. She served as a volunteer secretary to the Fourth Ward Democratic Committee and over 15 years as a scout leader. She was the store manager for Pictures of Years Ago and More located in Crossgates and Colonie Center Malls.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Shaker Place Rehab & Nursing Center for her great care.
