November 20, 1938 — January 2, 2014

Schenectady/Schoharie - Marston A. McGinness, "Tony", 75 passed away unexpectedly at his Schoharie home on January 2nd with his wife by his side. Tony was born in Moriah, NY in 1938 to Marie (Moses) and Harrison McGinness. He worked for many years as a crane operator for Schiebol and Hudson, in Albany NY. Tony had a wonderful sense of ''Irish" humor. He loved the outdoors and working around the house. He enjoyed many vacations with his wife. A favorite trip was to Pigeon Forge Tenn., where he found a little puppy that would turn out to be his best companion for the remaining years of his life. He adored his grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Tony was predeceased by his brothers Marshall and Harold and his sisters Iva Knapp and Lillian Michener.

Tony is survived by his loving wife, Betty (Newell) McGinness and his brothers John, George and his sister Judy Yergeau, his children Belinda, Gene, Debbie, David and Shaun, Betty's children Dorothy, Orben, Lola and Karen.
He also leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Pigeon.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 11:00 am to 1:00 PM at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie, with a memorial service to immediately follow at 1:00 PM.

A graveside service will be held in the spring at the family's convenience.
