Marta S. Conover

COLONIE, NY – Marta S. Conover, 83, passed away on Friday, March 05, 2010. Born and educated in Herrentier Bach, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Fritz and Rosa Krafft. After immigrating to the United States, Marta resided in Colonie for all of her adult life. She was a member of the Amaranth and the Daughters of the Nile. Marta was the beloved wife of the late Martin L. Conover. She is the sister of Margaret Krafft, Olga Heberle and Gottlob Krafft, all of Germany. In addition to her husband, Marta was predeceased by her dear friend, Bessie E. Bogden.
Funeral services will be Monday at 12:00 p.m. at New Comer- Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A calling hour will precede the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Amaranth, c/o Capital City Court #15, 73 Stempel Rd., East Berne, NY 12059 in memory of Marta S. Conover.
