Martha C. Rufenacht
March 18, 1929 — March 5, 2015
Eagle Mills- Martha C. Rufenacht, 85, of Eagle Mills died Thursday March 5, 2015 at Samaritan Hospital.
Born in Hyannis, Ma she was the daughter of Sumner Brown and Eunice (Clark) Brown. Martha was a graduate of Troy High School and Mildred Elly.
She retired from the Brittonkill Central School District in 1992. She enjoyed bingo, bowling," scratch-offs", cats, beer, bonfires,mischievous tricks and most of all her family and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Edward C. Rufenacht and sister Barbara Layden of Vermont. Survivors include her son, Glenn Rufenacht, also of Troy and her sisters, Lois Burr of Iowa, Rebecca Cogswell of California and Deborah Snell of Vermont as well as several nieces and nephews and her "adopted" granddaughter, Emily.
A memorial service will be held at the Brunswick Presbyterian Church, 42 White Church Lane, Troy, NY on Saturday March 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow.
