Martha Francis

LOUDONVILLE-Martha (Pezzula) Francis of Loudonville died on Friday, January 4, 2013. Born in Albany in 1939, the daughter of the late Salvatore "Sam" R. Pezzula and Maria "Mary" Urbano Pezzula; wife of Alfred W. Francis, Jr.; mother of James (Carla) Mann of DongGuan, China, William (Meagan) Mann of Watervliet, and the late Martha Elizabeth Healy and Joseph S. Mann. Proud grandmother of James, Anthony, Steven, Nicholas, Joseph and Maria Mann. Stepmother of Anthony (Marie) Francis and the late Michelle Francis; step grandmother of Justin and Janay Freeman and Brittany and Savannah Francis. Sister of Lucille Van Baars of Needham, MA and the late Rose Goffredo and Mary Ann Mancinelli. Daughter in law of the late Rose M. Francis. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Francis graduated from the Cathedral Academy in Albany. She worked many years as a legal secretary and was involved in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation as a volunteer and part time employee. She was most recently employed part time by The Catholic Schools Office and St. Catherine's Center for Children. Mrs. Francis was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Albany where her children also attended school.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Avenue, Albany.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie.
Interment will be at St .Agnes Cemetery, Menands in a private family ceremony.
