Martha Martinelli

ROTTERDAM – Martha (Prichard) Martinelli, 72, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013, surrounded by her loving family after a long illness. Born in Alexandria, VA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Jay Prichard and Hazel Elvira Dunham. Martha lived most of her life in the Rotterdam area. She was a home health aide for over ten years. She was an avid fan of the New York Yankees. Martha will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.


Martha is the beloved mother of Jeffrey Martinelli, Tina (Paul) Forchili, Randy (Gina) Martinelli, Coreen (Michael) Prysmont, Gina (William) LaRoe and Tonya Collins. She is the step-mother of Maureen (Melvin) Hitchcock, Larry Martinelli and Todd (Lori) Martinelli. She is the loving sister of Lawrence Prichard and half-sister of Gary and Douglas Prichard. Martha is the cherished grandmother of several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her former husband and friend, Philip J. Martinelli.


Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. At the request of the family, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Martha Martinelli.
