Martha M. Myers

Schenectady – Martha M. Myers, passed away on February 22, 2025 at St. Peter’s Hospice Unit. She was born in Albany on January 24, 1937 to the late Theodore and Nina Stage.

Martha was a loving wife and mother, an avid Boston Red Sox fan, as well as a Union College Hockey fan. After raising her six children, she returned to the workforce as a telephone operator. She enjoyed traveling to the New Jersey shore, Schroon Lake, and occasionally a casino. She was involved in her son’s cub scout troops, and a member of the Mont Pleasant Band Booster club. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Bernard P. Myers, her son, Michael L. Myers and daughter in-law Debi Myers. She was also preceded in death by siblings, Tom (Rosalie) Stage, David (Sally) Stage, Nancy (Jack) Keyser, and Alice (Bill) Zebrowski, and brother in-law John Hoen.

Martha is survived by sons, Mark Myers, Gerald Myers, Jay Myers, Sanford (Maureen) Myers and daughter Elaine (Thomas) Russell. Grandchildren, Jason Myers, Jessica Myers, Benjamin Myers, Gregory Myers, Anna Norton, Joseph Myers and Emma Myers. Great grandsons, Andrew, Dylan and Brian. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Martha is also survived by her sister, Carol Hoen of Laurel, MD.

Martha will be missed by many old and dear friends, as well as her friends at the Holiday Glenville.
