Martha E. Richardson

Martha Elizabeth Richardson, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Shaker Place Nursing and Rehabilitation with her loving family by her side.

She was a resident of the Capital District for all of her life. She worked at Shaker High School for over 40 years as a clerical worker.

Marti was the daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Gailor.

Marti was the devoted wife to the late Harold D. Richardson.

Marti was a member of the Troy Women's Club for 7 years, the UMW Women's Club, United Methodist Women's Club for 5 years and the Calvary Methodist Church.

Marti enjoyed playing games with her friends, loved making and painting ceramics and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents and her husband she was predeceased by her brothers Richard C. and Robert Gailor and her daughter-in-law Terri M. Richardson.

Marti is survived by her children, Mark A. Richardson and Lynn M. Winne. She was the proud grandmother of Cory L. Winne, Christine (Brian) Gillie and great grandmother of Joseph and Aidan Gillie.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday May 10, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, NY. A graveside service will follow the calling hours at Memory Gardens, where she will be entombed with her husband, Harold.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Alzheimer's Association of Northeastern New York 4 Pine West Plaza Ste 405, Albany, NY 12205 in Marti's memory.
