Marvella Brown took her final breath on the morning of April 19, 2024, at the wonderful and blessed age of 86. She was surrounded by her loved ones.
Born April 13, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Robert Zack and Mary Lou Dooley.
She worked at Casting Engineer on the north side in Chicago and ended her work career at Fort Campbell, Kentucky as the Manager of the post Bakery where she was known to all as "Ma Brown".
She enjoyed waking up early in the morning to watch her favorite church services along with her morning coffee. She also enjoyed baking, bowling and being surrounded by family and friends. Marvella had 8 beliefs, and those were to "Put Your Trust in The Lord," "Stay Strong," "Never Give Up," "Be Grateful," "Stay Humble," "Be A Joyful Giver" & "Stay Positive."
She leaves to cherish her legacy and speak her name… her buddy/sister-in-love Lorraine (Chicago, IL); daughters: Marquerite, Mariette "Marita"; son: James III (Clarksville, TN); grandkids: James IV (California), Andrea, Brittany; twin godsons: Rod (Georgia), Ron (So. Carolina) and a host of nieces, nephews & adopted daughters & sons.
She was preceded in death by her siblings: Helen, William Earl, Serena, Roberta, Christina, Nathaniel, Dorothy, Evelyn, Johnathan, Robert and his Twin Sister, & Lawerence.
A Celebration of Life for Marvella will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Newcomer Cremation and Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205. The viewing will begin at 11:00am, with a service to start at 12:00pm. After which, the Family will continue the Celebration at her home.
The service will be livestreamed, and the link will be active on Saturday, May 4, 2024.
