ALBANY – Marvin Raab, 64, passed away after a lengthy battle with his illness and now joins his beloved wife Erica Lee Raab.
Marvin was born on March 29, 1949 in down state New York. He grew up in Brooklyn, NY where he made lifelong friends.
Marvin loved hiking with his big Bouvier dogs one of which was a therapy dog. He was employed at Wildwood and he did the therapy dog work as part of the Wildwood Programs.
Marvin loved the sun and sand, often spending winters in Florida. He loved sports, mostly baseball, which lead to an active and robust eBay business buying and selling sports memorabilia. He was an avid fan of the Yankees and loved going to NYC to see their games. He will be missed and remembered with love by all of his many friends as well as the staff at The Atria at Crossgates.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 5 to 7 p.m.
