Marvin Thomas

ALBANY-Marvin A. Thomas, 61, of Albany was called home on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Albany Medical Center. Mr. Thomas was born in Albany, the son of the late James W. and Geraldine F. Spotts Thomas. He resided in Albany most of his life and attended Albany public schools. Mr. Thomas served in the US Air Force from 1971 to 1975. He was employed by the VA Medical Center in Albany as a house keeper.
He leaves behind his 3 children, DeShona Thomas, of Albany, Shtaye Thomas, of CA and Marvin Thomas, Jr., of TX; his 5 grandchildren, his brother, Richard Thomas, of Albany; his aunts, Naomi (Red) Henderson, of Rotterdam and Ruth Mondun, of Albany and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Thomas was predeceased by his brother, Gilbert Thomas and by his sister, Gloria Thomas.
Calling hours will be held from 9 to 11 AM on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie with a funeral service immediately following at 11 AM at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville
