COHOES – Mary A. Cochetti, 91, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Eddy Village Green. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Olga (Brocco) Bevilacqua.
Mary was a resident of Eddy Village Green for 3 ½ years. She retired with over 25 years of service between New York State Departments of Health, Education and Environmental Conservation. Mary enjoyed playing Bingo, knitting, crocheting, ceramics, playing cards and bowling.
Along with her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband of over 60 years, Roger Cochetti; sisters Josephine Contugno, Adelina Haggerty, Anna Rossini and brother John Bevilacqua.
She will be missed by her children, Elsie Vullo (Joseph) of Schenectady, Sally Goodall (David) of Albany, Roger Cochetti of Washington, D.C., and Peter Cochetti (Joyce Mosher) of Delmar; sisters-in-law Adelaid Cochetti and Carol Bevilacqua; grandchildren Joseph Vullo (Jennifer), Kimberly Thomas (David), Jennifer Goodall (Mark Abrams), Brian Vullo (Gilda), John Goodall (Sue), Emily McKenna (John), Sam Cochetti, Alex Cochetti, Andrew Cochetti and Emmett Cochetti; 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to the wonderful staff of House 10 at Eddy Village Green who cared for our mother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9:00 am at St. Clare's Church, 1947 Central Avenue, Colonie. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie.
