COLONIE – Mary A. Ragone, 82, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was born on October 6, 1925 in Albany and was the daughter of the late Frank and Maria (Adonetto) St. Lucia.
Mary worked as a cashier for the Price Chopper in Albany for 33 years, before retiring in 1991. She enjoyed lunching out with family and friends, dancing, sing, playing scrabble and was an excellent cook.
Mary leaves behind her children, Dominick (Sheila) Ragone of Colonie, Richard (Sandra) Ragone of Colonie and Mary (David) Judeikis of Rensselaerville; her grandchildren, Adam, Paulette, Nicolle, Charles, Ryan and Lance; her great-grandchildren, Kyle, Shane, Sierra, Jett, Victoria, Lance, Cameron and Tate; her brother, Charles (Mae) St. Lucia; her sisters, Lena Champagna, Ann Armento, Beatrice Flood and Joan (Ron) Drozd. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Dominick P. Ragone in 1987 and her siblings, Kate Louraine, Joseph and Tony St. Lucia and Julie Campagna.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
