Mary Ann Bloomer, 79, wife of Richard D. Bloomer of Guilderland NY, passed away Sunday June 19, 2022 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born December 8, 1942 in Niskayuna NY. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Anna Campbell of Guilderland.
Mary Ann graduated from Guilderland High School when she was only 16 and then went to study to be a secretary at Mildrid Ellie. She worked many years as a Secretary for various insurance companies. Mary Ann loved to grow flowers and create beautiful creations with which she showed at many craft fairs, then later opened Mary Ann's Countryside Creations in Scotia NY.
Mary Ann was a member of the Independent Order Of Oddfellows and Rebekahs, where she had been the Grand Marshal of the Grand Lodge of the state of NY, and also the Rebekah Assembly Past Conductor for the state of NY. She was a devout member of to the Rotterdam United Methodist Church. Mary Ann loved to Garden, she also was a great cook and baker.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Richard D. Bloomer. She also leaves behind her daughter Terri and husband Mike VanDenburgh of Guilderland NY; Stephen Bloomer and Beth O'Hara of Vine Grove Kentucky; Three grandchildren Alexandra Vandenburgh of Guilderland and Paul and Phillip Bloomer of Bogota Colombia.
In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was predeceased by her brother Lawrence Campbell Jr. of Guilderland.
Family and Friends are invited to attend visitation hours on Tuesday June 28, 2022 from 11:00am to 2:00pm at New Comer Cremations and Funerals at 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie NY 12205. Interment will follow with graveside prayers at Park View Cemetery, 40 Fehr Ave, Schenectady, NY 12309.
