Guilderland- Mary B. Lemmon, 97, died on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at St. Peter's Hospital.
Born and raised in Auburn, NY she was the daughter of the late George and Phyllis (Warnes) Brown . Mary was a graduate of the Auburn Memorial Hospital Nursing Program. Mary lived in Syracuse for 20 years before moving to Guilderland where she resided for the past 54 years. She was also a member of the St. Boniface Episcopal Church of Guilderland.
Mary is predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years George N. Lemmon, Jr.
Mary is survived by her loving children; George N. Lemmon, III and his wife Linda of Sarasota, FL, William J. Lemmon and his wife Carolyn of Albany, Suzanne L. Scott and her husband Charles of Niskayuna, Robert S. Lemmon and his wife Carol of Walton, NY, her 8 cherished grandchildren; Peter, Kelly, Sara, Allison, Gregory, Ashley, Meredith, and Michael, and her adored great-grandchildren; Caroline, David, Daniel, Elodie, Greier, Griffin, Oliver, Genevieve, Charlotte, Perri and Celia. Mary is also survived by her brother; John (Rita) Brown and her sisters; Mae Herriger, Phyllis Buchanan and Florence Murphy.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff at Atria Guilderland for the wonderful care given to Mary during her time there.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 18 at 11am at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will be held from 10-11 am prior to services on Saturday. A private graveside service will be held at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at a later date.
