Altamont~
Mary O. Beals, 84, of Altamont, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018 with her loving family by her side.
Born in Albany on April 27, 1934, Mary was the daughter of the late Robert and Helen (Costello) O'Toole. She was the devoted wife to the late George Stephen Beals, Sr. They were married 58 years.
An area resident for most of her life, Mary received her education and graduated from Vincentian Institute, Class of 1952
Mary was employed as an administrative assistant with the Albany Public School until her retirement. She was a member of the Altamont Seniors, a lector at St. Lucy's and St. Bernadette's and also participated at Altamont Food Pantry. Mary was a prayerful woman, a devout Roman Catholic and a parishioner of Christ the King Church in Guilderland. Mary also volunteered in the food pantry and thrift store through the Holy Trinity Church in Harwich, Mass. She was an avid Boston Red Sox Fan and New England Patriots, but most of all; Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survived by her children; G. Stephen (Lorraine) Beals, Jr., Christopher D. Beals, Maura H. Bellanger and Matthew R. (Kellie) Beals, grandchildren: Grant Beals, Bridget and Maggie Bellanger, Michael and Emily Beals. Also survived by her brother Thomas J. O'Toole, sister in laws Harriet O'Toole, Dottie Beals and Noreen Cleveland, brother in law Phillip Beals many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, predeceased by brother Dr. Robert V. O'Toole, Jr.

Relatives and friends may call 4-7 p.m. Friday October 26th at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Avenue, Albany, NY 12203. The parish family of Christ the King will gather at the church at 4:30 pm for a service of prayer and remembrance. All are welcome. The concelebrated memorial mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday October 27th at 10 o' clock at Christ the King.
