ALBANY – Mary Crisafulli Belardo, went to the Lord on Friday, April 22, 2005 at the Albany County Residential Facility, after a long illness. Mary was born on November 15, 1915 in Washington, D.C. and was the daughter of the late Sebastian and Domenica Crisafulli. She resided in Albany for over 70 years. Mary was a wonderful cook known for her homemade bread and pasta. She was a member of Christian Assembly of God Church, where she was the organist for 70 years. Mary is survived by her beloved husband, Anthony Belardo whom she married July 21, 1935. She is the mother of Dr. Salvatore (Diana) Belardo of Niskayuna and the late Richard James Belardo. She is the grandmother of Anthony Belardo of Hubley, Nova Scotia, David (Anne) Belardo of Ashburn, VA and Maribeth (John) Pagoda of Malta. She is the great-grandmother of Mattison and Jacob Belardo of Ashburn, VA. Also surviving is her brother, Sam (Rose) Crisafulli, along with a niece and several nephews. Mary was predeceased by her sisters, Carmella Bongiorno and Jennie Bongiorno.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 11:00 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
